ABOUT RUNHER

RUNHER is part of the next generation of independent publishing—a premium print magazine that centers the unique experiences of women, trans, and nonbinary runners.
Our goal is to deliver deeply reported stories that celebrate everything that women’s running has to offer. And we’re doing it in a beautiful print publication, one worthy of display in your home and one you can sit with and revisit as often as you’d like.
RUNHER is for the woman who just committed to running 10 minutes a day a few times a week; for the high school athlete looking to see where the sport can take her; for the dedicated masters runner who has been accumulating miles throughout her life; for the mother runners committed to their sport while raising the next generation of athletes; for the woman looking to stay healthy, physically and mentally; and for the woman seeking a community where she always feels welcome.
INSIDE EACH ISSUE

Subscribe and receive four print editions of RUNHER a year. Each issue is created to help you slow down, step away from screens, and connect you with the sport you love.
MEANINGFUL STORIES
Our goal is to showcase long-form journalism that elevates women’s voices and explores the culture, history, and future of women’s running.
PHOTOGRAPHY THAT CELEBRATES WOMEN
Each story is accompanied by powerful imagery from photographers who document the sport’s most emotional and defining moments.
THOUGHTFUL PARTNERSHIPS
Our model is reader-first, so we keep ads to a minimum and feature intentional collaborations with brands that genuinely support women runners.
SUPPORT FOR CREATORS
Your subscription helps us fairly pay the writers, photographers, and creators who bring RUNHER to life.
Each issue of RUNHER is dependent on work from freelance contributors. It is our promise that at least 75 percent of every issue will be written and shot by female writers and photographers.
RUNHER accepts freelance pitches on a quarterly basis. Please review our Pitch Guidelines before submitting your best ideas.
